I made an overnight trip to Kamakura alone after the hectic summer which had been full of events and work. Here are three pictures of some people who I came across while traveling. The first one is a picture with a rickshaw man and tour guide whose name is Kei Inoue. He took me around the east side of Hachiman Shrine. He is such a pleasant person that I enjoyed being with him although it was only for 15 to 20 minutes. It was only after we finished our tour that I found out he can explain in English as well as Japanese. I could have asked him if I had known about it….. The second one is a picture taken in Tem-musuya, where I had lunch. (Tem-musu means rice balls with Tempura inside.) The leftmost is a local person often coming to this small restaurant to have lunch. The two girls were travelers, Miss Segawa and Miss Kurita. The last one is with Akemi, whom I got acquainted with in the precinct of Hachiman Shrine and turned out to be together with until the end of the day. She came here from a neighboring city by car. After visiting some temples, we drove along the sea and had dinner together in an Italian restaurant looking out on the sea of Kamakura. We are now good friends. 忙しかった夏の終わりに鎌倉一人旅に行ってまいりました。一人旅で出会った人たちと撮った写真をアップ。 まず最初の写真は人力車の井上桂さんと。車夫兼ガイドの桂さんはほんとに楽しい人でした。一区画だけまわっていただきましたが良かったです。楽しい解説つきで、きれいな場所に行くと「JRのポスターみたいなキレイな写真をここで撮りましょう！」なんて言いながら写真を撮ってくれたり。鎌倉に行ったらぜひ井上桂さんを指名してください。彼は英語でもガイドをするそうです。最初からわかっていたら英語でやってもらってたんだけどな・・・ 2枚目は「天むす屋」さんでお昼を食べた時にご一緒した人たち。左の人はご近所の方だそうです。そして旅行者のSさんとKさん。おいしかったなあ、天むす、豆乳の豆腐、水ようかん。また食べたい！ そして3枚目。鶴岡八幡宮でたまたま出会い、結局夜までご一緒することになったAさん。彼女は車で来ていたので鎌倉の海沿いをドライブして海の見えるレストランで食事をし、最後は横浜のホテルまで送ってくれました。しかし方向音痴の彼女は迷いに迷い・・・その後無事家に帰れたかと心配しました。
