This is our new family member. He is a long-haird chihuahua. He was born on August 24. My daughter named him Choko because of his way of moving around. He scurries around, which we express as "choko-choko aruku" in Japanese. He is as mischievous as a dog we used to have until two years ago.
Here are other pictures of Choko. My daughter and I have trained him to do some tricks. Now he can "sit," "wait" and "lie down," except when he is too excited or his attention is diverted from us by something else. I hope he will learn a lot more tricks in the future.
We had a Christmas party as we do every year. I invited Mormon Missionaries this year again as Santa Clause. They are such nice people that they are always willing to help me and I really thank them for their kindness. I had made a picture story on the birth of Jesus Christ by copying pictures and stories from a book and asked them to read it to my students, which they did for me. I wanted my students to know what Christmas is actually all about. Then we played some games. Then, of course, presents. Santa Clause or Mormon missionaries went back home with presents as well as my students. We had a good time.
