1月2日 (日) Happy New Year! あけましておめでとう
We have just entered the year 2005. I hope this will be a peacefull year without any natural disasters. I wish all of you happiness. I paid my first visit to the shrine at one o'clock on January 1.
新年を迎えました。今年は災害のない平和な一年になりますように!

1月22日 (土) Swan in Shitada 下田の白鳥
Many people may associate swans with Lake Hyo-ko, which is the most famous site where swans migrate from Siberia and stay during the winter. But these pictures were taken at the lower course of the Ikarashi River in Shitada village, next to Sanjo city. They were so beautiful with snow here and there in the background and I successfully caught the moment of a swan expanding its wings.
白鳥と言えば漂湖が有名ですが、これは下田五十嵐川「鶴亀橋」下流で撮りました。羽を広げた瞬間を撮ることができました。雪景色の中、白鳥たちはとてもきれいでした。でも寒かった！
